Hello,
First of all, let me just say that this forum is wonderful in so many ways. Just reading the comments and feedback provided by users, new-comers (like myself), and cupix support staff has made me feel welcome and comfortable posting on such a platform. Very excited for the future of this technology.
Question:
I own a Xiomi Misphere. I'm very pleased with its capabilities, however, I have failed to successfully complete a virtual tour using the cupix software. Does anyone know how to correct the dual fish eye format? I wasn't able to locate such a setting on the app itself.
Thanks,
Spencer
Hello, Spencer.
Thanks for writing in and we're glad that you're satisfied with our service.
As for the question, The Xiaomi Mi Sphere doesn't have an in-camera stitching program so you need to convert the dual fish eye formats to the formats that we support; the ratio of width to height is 2:1. Download this Xiamomi desktop app(http://awsde0.fds.api.xiaomi.com/soft/Mi_Sphere_Camera_080314.exe) on your PC and import all the image file from the camera to your PC app. Click the export button then the images will be stitched automatically. That's an official app of Xiaomi but it's a bit buggy when we tested.

Thank you! Too bad the app is not currently compatible with Mac IOS. I will have to find a pc.

Hi, Spencer.
In that case, you can use other panoramic photo tools such as PTGui, Autopano, and Hugin. Hugin is based pm the same open-source as many expensive pro-level tools, but it's freeware. You can download here

Thanks, Cupix Support. I've yet to get up and running. Trying to manufacture a solution this evening. Looking forward to creating my first virtual tour.
As you know, we've updated our server, and now you can input 360º videos as well. (The videos should be stitched just like photos)
Try out our new feature and hope to hear your feedback!
Thanks for your interest as always! Good luck with your first virtual tour with Cupix! Let us know if you have any problems.

Thanks for writing in. If your question is about the camera we support, all cameras are compatible with Cupix software as long as the images are in the correct format; JPG image of stitched 360º photos or videos with a width: height ratio of 2:1. However, one of the most critical manufacturer-specific issues from our software processing perspective is the amount of distortion introduced in the course of stitching images from multi-lens sensors, followed by the noise level of images. Note that we found a critical stitching error in Samsung Gear 360 so we do not recommend it.
